Established in 1865, we were once the largest heavy hardware store West of Toronto. Today we are the finest, and most traditional heavy hardware retailer in the entire nation.

The business was founded to supply the burgeoning local oil and gas production industry, and 140 years later we still supply local oil producers!

The business is owned and operated by Charles Fairbank , who represents the fourth generation of the Fairbank family which has been involved in the local oil industry.

Van Tuyl & Fairbank Hardware isknown today for stocking rare and unusal pipe, rod and steel bar stock. All can be custom cut, threaded and bent to order. The business also stocks a large variety of Poly and Sisal Rope, as well as the very rare Jute Rope from India.
